Partners For Parks
INFORMATION FOR THE VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
Through “hands-on” experience, volunteers gain an
understanding of the importance of New Jersey’s natural
landscapes and how an individual can make a positive
difference through stewardship initiatives. This helps
reach our objective for creating stewards and informed
advocates for open space on the individual, community and
corporate levels.
The Land Conservancy's Partners for Parks program was
instituted in 1996, and has since completed over 285
projects, affecting over 16,000 acres of federal, state,
county, municipal, and non-profit lands in 7 northern New
Jersey counties. More than 5000 volunteers from 60
corporations and businesses have participated in this
program.
