Partners For Parks
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How far in advance can we schedule a project with the
Conservancy?
As soon as you know that your group would like to
participate in a Partners for Parks project, please give
us a call to reserve a date. Dates book up quickly in “the
popular months” of spring and fall. Preparation and
planning can take several weeks.
What time of year are the projects held?
Projects can be scheduled anytime from mid April through
mid November.
What day of the week are the Partners for Parks
projects?
Our flexible scheduling allows for projects on weekdays
and weekends.
How many volunteers can work at a project?
We can accommodate groups of 10 or more.
Where are the projects located?
We partner with land managers throughout Northern New
Jersey. We strive to place volunteers in a park that is
within their corporate “backyard” community.
What is the layout of the work site – how far do we
have to walk to the site?
Each site is different and
The Land Conservancy's
Stewardship Director can answer these questions once the
location is determined.
Are children allowed at the projects?
We request that they be 7 years old or older for safety
reasons around the outdoor work sites, tools, etc.
Are dogs allowed at the projects?
Many of the sites do not allow dogs and, again, for the
safety of the volunteers and the animals we discourage
bringing any animals to the work sites.
Are alcoholic beverages allowed?
The sites at which we work do not allow alcohol.
